Over 120 guests joined our Green Cafe, where we discussed the project's next steps, safety, and the essential role ammonia will play in decarbonising shipping.
During the evening, guests were able to listen to the presentations of:
- Håvand Handeland, the mayor of Sauda municipality, who talked about the importance of new industry for Sauda
- Heidi Saua from Community and Spatial Planning in Sauda Municipality, who informed about the process and input deadlines for the zoning plan, which Iverson eFuels submitted earlier this year
- Andrew Holmes, Project Director of the Iverson-project, who spoke about the development of the project
- Ørjan Knudsen from Gexcon, who gave a good review of their risk assessments that they are doing for our green ammonia production facility
- Ghostavo Halawy, Lead Civil & Construction Engineer at Iverson, who presented the status and the further development for the industrial site at Birkeland
- Egil Hystad, General Manager Power Systems at Wärtsilä Norway, who gave an informative presentation on the use of ammonia as a zero-emission fuel and their work on developing future ship engines
The event's culmination was a panel discussion with three representatives of the Sauda Youth Council, who shared their commitment to Sauda's future and their views on what factors are important for future employees when choosing an employer.
We thank everyone who attended and contributed to the event and look forward to the next Green Café!
