Project team meeting in Sauda: Our large-scale green ammonia project is on track

This week the whole Iverson team gathered in Sauda to go through the status of our large-scale green ammonia project. – We are on track, says project director Andrew Holmes. The plant will, according to our plans, be ready in 2027 and will produce 600 tons of ammonia per day.

A winter wonderland in Sauda greeted our team welcome to our project team event. During the last months, the project team has grown, and new colleagues have entered the project. The team covers all needed technical disciplines in the project, and the team members bring in needed competence from many similar projects in the process and the energy industry from different parts of the world. Together with our external partners and sub-contractor over 100 people are involved in this groundbreaking project. We are now entering the FEED (Front-End Engineering Design), which will be important in providing important information before the investment decision that will take place in 2024.

-Our green ammonia will be an important enabler for the shipping industry in meeting their climate goals, says Hege Økland managing director of Iverson. Both Økland and Adalbert Graff, who is also managing the project, are very grateful for the support the project received from the local community in Sauda.
